Infrastructure

The infrastructure in aberdeenshire makes proper access to services impossible and puts aberdeenshire at a huge disadvantage. Living in a town with no train station (one of many) and a poor, irregular bus service (1 hr and 30 mins to get to a city 40 miles away), most young people are forced to drive on poor standard roads in order to access services and employment opportunities - it is unsurprising that aberdeenshire has the highest road traffic accidents in scotland.

Why the contribution is important

In a developed country like the UK, and the industry that has existed in the north east over the years, it is unthinkable that there is such a poor infrastructure here. It upsets me to be forced to pay taxes and recieve such sub standard sevices
