Early intervention with assessments

Recognisng concerns from a parent or professional of behaviours that are out of character of a child.Assessing a child with support from an educational psychologist to decide whether a child might have additional needs when they seem to be struggling following instructions and boundaries, especially when shown previously to have had no concerns but equally if been present as issues from a young age. Following on with appointments to school Dr and further assessments to establish cause of concerns and continuing to review as multi agency concern Involving specialists if and when required

Why the contribution is important

It is important to make sure a child feels safe and can trust the people around them. For the child not to be misunderstood and given firm boundaries and consequences that can be damaging to their health. If school isn't taking concerns seriously then the wellbeing and health of a child is not priority as it should be
